The Legendary Quarryman Race
The Lemont Quarryman Challenge 5K and 10‐mile race offers runners a challenging course in Lemont’s unique, scenic and small town setting. The 5K and 10‐mile race start and finish in historic downtown Lemont and wind through the hilly neighborhoods of Lemont.

Course Preview Runs
We host two preview runs to get prepared for the Quarryman Challenge. Both the 5K & the 10-Mile will be ran. Registration is not required for these course preview runs. Sponsored by LemonTriClub. You’ll run the course and get a better idea of how to navigate this hill race filled with turns. Runners will become familiar with where water stations are located, the hills to expect and how to best prepare for race day.
Volunteer
The Quarryman Challenge would not be made possible without the many volunteers! Volunteers are required to participate in a brief training. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt to wear for race day!
Awards
All finishers for both the 5K and 10-Mile will receive a finisher medal.
The Quarryman Challenge awards are offered to 1st through 3rd male and female overall and all standard five-year age groups for both genders. Additionally, cash prizes are offered to 10-Mile Race winners for both genders 1st through 3rd.
The Quarryman 10-Mile & 5K will be electronically timed. 1st through 3rd Overall will be based on gun time. All Age Group Awards will be based on electronic time.
