The Lemont Township Senior Center offers senior citizen services which include applications for reduced fare RTA passes, voter registration information and referral to other agencies, assistance with Circuit Breaker applications and Free Income Tax Services. Annual Flu Shot Clinics are held in cooperation with Cook County Health Department, Lemont Park District and Lemont Township.

Hot nutritious lunches are served Monday through Friday at 11:30AM. There is a suggested donation of $3.50 and reservations are requested at least a day in advance. We also offer a salad bar option for $3.75. Again, reservations are requested at least a day in advance. Those reservations can be made by calling 257-0515. Menus for the month are available upon request. Associated with the lunch program are various activities including Bingo and cards in addition to many parties throughout the year. It is an excellent way to get acquainted and make new friends if you are new to the community. Participants need to be 60 years of age or older. Home delivered meals are also served through the Nutrition Site. Please call PLOWS Council on Aging at 708-361-0219 to request the home delivered meals.

This organization is for area residents 55 years and over. The group meets on scheduled Friday's throughout the year. Newagers begins at 5:00 pm with some social time followed by a catered meal at 5:30 pm. At 6:30 pm you will enjoy an exciting program, activity and socialization. Newagers is a great way to make new friends, get together with old ones or both! We are always looking for new friends to join in on the fun! Meal fee is approximately, $12.00 per meeting. The Lemont Senior Association meets the first Monday of each month at the Lemont Township Senior Center. Area residents must be 60 years of age or older to join. A nominal fee for annual membership is charged for membership. Seniors play Bingo after a short business meeting and hold special holiday parties throughout the year. Please call Human Services at 257-2522 for more information on this group.

Lemont Township offers a transportation service for Lemont residents who are senior citizens or disabled and need rides to medical appointments outside of the Lemont Township boundaries. This service extends to a 25 mile radius from Lemont. We operate Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. A fee of $25.00 is charged for a trip 1-12 miles and $30.00 for a trip 13-25 miles. Appointments are necessary and must be made 48 hours in advance. The van is able to accommodate wheelchairs. For more information and to schedule a ride, call the township offices at 630-257-2522.
